Beginnings - Larry Gordon and Floyd Smith forged a close friendship in the mid 1950's while surfing together. This led to the creation of a surfboard company which became a brand with worldwide recognition. In the 60s, Gordon and Smith became one of the leading manufacturers in the industry.
70´s - During this time Gordon and Smith also became one of the largest, most successful skateboard companies and one of the first ot sponsor professional team riders. Skateboarding exploded as the company sold 500 FibreFlex skateboards per day with a 6 month backlog and skaters became overnight superstars.
90´s and Millennium - The turn of the millennium also saw the growth of longboard skateboarding, which opened a whole new level of innovation in board design and construction. FibreFlex skateboard technology makes its renaissance as riders prefer flex and sustainable pop for powerful carving.
2011 - Transworld Skateboarding Magazine recognizes G&S as the number one selling skateboard of all time.
